Crowley Marine is the best. They sent me repair parts for my Evinrude E-TEC engine. They answered all of my questions quickly and sent me genuine Evinrude parts. Their shipping time was very fast. They are the only place I will buy my parts from.

Problem fixed: I had water in the lower unit.

I put a little air pressure to the lower unit. I used some soapy water and found some leaks. The driveshaft seals were leaking and the shift rod o-ring was leaking. I went to Crowley Marines website and ask what parts I would need for my engine. They answered my questions quickly and sent me the parts I needed. I put the new seals and o-ring in. I checked it for leaks and found none. I put in a new water pump and the engine is good to go. Thank you Crowley Marine.

Great. Parts diagrams make parts selection easy. Your iphone app is just freaking awesome- i wish other manufacturers would do the same. Would be good if your could add a specialist tools page to the parts diagrams for tools for my specific engine, rather than trying to search by part number. Shipping can be a bit pricey too...

Problem fixed: Low water pump pressure and worn out lower unit oil seals

In progress. Complete lower unit reseal and water pump replacement. All the oil seals were loose and worn out. O rings torn or no longer sealing. Hasn’t been serviced in over 10 years. Crowley makes it easy to get the right genuine parts to complete the reepairs.

Excellent very fast response - only downside being that as i live overseas when a parcel is sent Express (ie FEDEX) duty at 20% is charged (which on top of FEDEX can make an item nearly 50% more expensive} For one purchase 'Mail' was an option , for the other it was not, Therefore taxed! I appreciate that USPS is slower for Int parcel , however i would like the option??. That aside (outside Crowley's influence!} , spares availability and response time was A++. Hope you continue to Stock Evinrude!!!!

Problem fixed: Traces of water in gearbox

Propeller seals were replaces last season, so main suspect was driveshaft seal and/or shift rod o-ring. Suspicion confirmed after removal of water pump: traces of oil found around driveshaft seal. 1) Removal of lower unit (requires to remove lower cowling) 2) Removal of water pump (4 screws) 3) Removal of shift rod cover (6 screws) 4) Removal of driveshaft bearing (4 screws). Bearing removed by gently prying with flatheaded screwdriver Replacement of: * 2 driveshaft seals (upper + lower). Old ones gently chisseled out with screwdriver. New ones installed with suitable size socket-wrench socket and hammer. * shift rod cover o-ring * driveshaft bearing o-ring * waterpump gasket * shift rod cover gasket Reinstalled everyting in reverse order of removal. Note: It is important to adjust the shift rod height (see manual)
