Problem fixed: Trim solenoid
Trim up not working, could here solenoid clicking but not working. Opened motor cover and confirmed by jumping wires to down solenoid. Motor runs great but is a 1990, so I replaced both at the same time, keeping the "good" old one for a spare. Problem fixed: Replace trim solenoids
I did the repair without removing the entire bracket assembly. Some sweat and cursewords later, I had the two parts installed, terminals cleaned, and all worked perfect. A well stocked toolkit is required for this job.

96158T SOLENOID We have current, we have 12v in the starter motor, but ,we turn the key and nothing happens. Test the soleniod making a circuit, if it works , replace it.
