1988 Mariner 35 hp

Repair Time: More than 4 hours

My parts search lead me to Crowley Marine due to the age of my 1988, 35 hp Marine outboard. Great people to work with, very knowledgeable. All of the parts were in stock. I will definitely use Crowley for all of my outboard needs from now on!

Problem fixed: Motor had been setting idle for more than 20+ years

I began the journey with a little clean-up. Replacing all fuel lines, filters, plus/wires and seals within the fuel/carburetor system. Turning the motor over by hand i used WD40 to help exercise the the top end, this worked great. The lower end rebuild was very simple and some what time consuming. The online exploded parts viewer was great for ordering and putting the components back in place. I believe i had less than 5 total hours in the rebuild and two days later and a few "small" adjustment the motor is running like new

1976 Chrysler 75Hp

Repair Difficulty: Medium
Repair Time: Less than 30 mins

I eventually got everything I needed, They had a huge delay waiting on some small o-rings, couldn't gett hem from the manufacturer. Sent me one email saying it would be a 3-5 day delay. I finally contacted them and told them to cancel the o-rings as they were only spare parts. I recieved some main fuel jets (.062) and they fixed my issue. Seem like quality parts. Customer service could have been a little more proactive in letting me know my status for shipping/ waiting.

Problem fixed: Fouling plugs, slight bog down at accelaeration.

Repaired my old 76 Chrysler outboard 75Hp. It was having major carb issues flooding the engine. The final touch was the main fuel jets I purchased from Crowley. They were the correct size for my altitude. Easy to swap out of the three carbs and seem to be quality parts. Now the engine runs great and plugs dont foul.
