Problem fixed: Old Trim Tab broke off.
Don't know why or when did my old Trim Tab broke off my motor as the pontoon boat has not been in the water for over 2 years. While doing my annual maintenance and getting my pontoon boat ready for the season, I noticed that the "Trim Tab" was laying on the ground behind the boat. Don't know how or what caused this to break, but very glad that Crowley Marine has them in stock and they shipped it out very fast. Very easy to install. You don't need to be a rocket scientist or a marine mechanic to install this as it's very simple to do in less than 30 minutes. I set it to where the old Trim Tab hatch marks were before. Won't know if the setting is correct, until I put the boat in the water and see how the steering feels to make any adjustments. The advice that I like to share with you, is don't forget to install the little "plastic screen" that sits under the edge of the Trim Tab. Mine fell off when the old Trim Tab broke off. Luckily for me that I found it laying next to the old Trim Tab on the ground. Happy boating!!!!

Problem fixed: routine changing of the water pump impeller
disconnect shift rod using 2 -10mm wrenches.Remove gearbox lower end of outboard, disassemble water pump, be sure to note rotation direction of shaft to put impeller in the same way. Beware of small key that is easy to lose but a new one is included with repair kit anyway. reassemble, centering pump housing so it doesn't rub on shaft. Don't forget to reconnect shift rod after gear box is being installed. Don't run engine with impeller dry!

Problem fixed: Power trim was erratic.
Trim would only work after tapping on the trim relays, decided to replace both relays . Replaced one relay at first to see if the problem would be corrected, it had not. Switched new relay to other socket to if the problem persisted, it did. What I had discovered was the problem was both relays had to be replaced at the same time with new relays for whatever reason and not just one that was suspect. Anyhow replacing them a pair corrected the problem .
