Problem fixed: Broken plate allowed throttle to 'flip around' if one dumped the throttle too quickly

Removed cowling. Removed broken part. Reinstalled new part. Added adjustment screw. Started and tuned the engine.

Cause was a broken throttle plate Just waiting to get back from holidays to complete the repair Let you know if that was the problem.

Overall experience was good, nothing out of the ordinary. Shipping could have been a little less for the size part.

Problem fixed: low on power. would not idle unless throttle was jacked way up

upon investigateing my problem i found the high rpm linkage was broken. i replaced it with parts from crowley marine. at this time i also cleaned the carbs. new gaskets and float needles. set my timeing at idle and full advance. my motor hasn't ran this good as long as ive owned it. thanks crowley marine.
