The 2-cycle oil sensor is sealed in tank, went bad had to replace tank. Crowley had the correct parts, all went well. Now the rest of the maintenance on the 1997 Mercury 115 outboard. I’m sure I’ll be using Crowley again.

Problem fixed: Alarm comes on when key on or started, even cold.
Impeller was new and pumping just fine. Block was still cold and block sensor checked OK. Unplugged oil tank sensor and alarm didn't come on. Bingo. Ordered new oil tank and low-oil sensor. Had to unbolt the two black modules above the oil pump to disconnect the oil sensor harness. Siphoned and drained oil and removed old tank, Installed new sensor before installing the new tank. Reconnect everything and fill with oil. Problem fixed.

Problem fixed: Low oil alarm wouldn’t shut off
Low oil alarm for the oil injection system came on even though the tank was 3/4 full. The sensor has an external probe with a magnetic float built into the tank. The internal float went bad so the only fix was to replace the injection tank. This is a 1995 motor so this part is getting very hard to find but Crowley Marine had what I needed. Thanks Crowley!

Problem fixed: Bad switch assembly (oil level sensor)
Had continuous alarm when engine is running. Looked at the maintenance manual for troubleshooting and followed the instructions that lead me to oil sensor. Removed oil Reservoir and empty oil into a container. Ordered the new sensor and when it arrived, I went to grab the oil container and noticed something funny inside. The freaking magnet that tells the sensor the oil level broke off. So I had to order a new oil tank too. Glad that Crowley Marine had it too. You might think that it was the oil tank, but remember that I troubleshoot it and it was no good per manual instructions. So bottom line I had a bad sensor and oil tank. Put it all back together and running good and no alarms.

Problem fixed: Oil alarm was on steady- falty oil tank float
Remove vowel, undo two bolts on top front of oil take, including a third one by the centre of the bottom side. Then pulled the oil tank out enough to remove the plastic oil tube, Including the sensor - 1 screw. You need to take a pin off the centre of an outer& inner grommet and install on the new tank. The 3rd bolt goes through the it. I then installed the new sensor, put on a zip strap around the oil tube connection and the just fasten it back into place with the 3 bolts... A Very easy job Best m

It is quite old, so it is necessary to replace the motor wiring, but the same kind can not be found in Japan? I am in trouble if I can not find it yet.

Problem fixed: Oil leak from two stroke oil container and faulty two stroke low oil sensor/alarm
Removed the engine cover and identified the leak which was coming from the fixing screw position right on the original plastic die cast seam. Referred to correct schematic and ordered replacement parts. Removed lower covers to gain access to mounting points. Dismounted old oil tank and easily removed the mounting bushings and dip stick, rubber grommet etc. Fitted new parts to tank then installed before connecting clamps etc. All in all saved 50% of quoted price here in South Australia for an easy repair - all I needed to do was patiently wait for a week or so for the parts. Thanks Crowley Marine another job well done.

Problem fixed: Low oil alarm / bad float
Replaced oil reservoir/tank because float and magnet separated and low alarm was constantly chirping. Repair was fairly simple, just a little messy. Hardest part was draining the oil from my existing tank without making puddles on the concrete.
