Problem fixed: Regular Maintenance

Loosen all bolts and take off lower unit. Install impeller. Line up water inlet and shift rod. Turn crankshaft to get driveshaft lined up. Install and tighten nuts and bolts . Wala done.

Removed the lower unit, replaced impeller and impeller housing. Followed several YouTube videos and repair manuals as I had not done this in several years.

Problem fixed: Water pump

Remove lower unit and take the water pump housing off the driveshaft then line up the water pump with the key slide it back on the put the housing back on and put the lower unit back on and good to go

Problem fixed: Difficult to operate fast idle lift lever on remote control

I removed and dismantled the Commander 2000 Remote Control. Solvent cleaned all parts, replaced Alarm unit and Neutral Safety switch. Lubed and greased all contact surfaces. Re-assembled. Quicksilver has separate manuals for the remotes. Also, rebuilt the carburetors (3) Using can of carburetor cleaner and forced air, new gasket kits. Needles/seats ok. On water testing next Monday.

Problem fixed: lower end, water in. No water out of witness hole

Replaced seals and water pump . Made my own pressure gage to check for leaks. For fitting I used 1/4 in galvanized pipe and re threaded to 3/8-14 , fit oil vent screw hole fine. used a rubber hose and small ball pump to pressurize. put air gage in line with a tee fitting . that way you wont over pressurize and watch for leak down
