Problem fixed: Starter issues
Replaced the starter, but still not engaging the bindix. So I researched the issue further and found the root cause being the starter solenoid. I got a cheap one at autozone and the housing cracked during install. (Don't use power tools too much torque). Got another exact same and it fried internally. So then I knew I better get a marine grade and found the one from Crowley Marine and all is great. Back fishing again!

Problem fixed: Starter stuck in constant crank mode
I had a week earlier bought a starter relay from an online vendor. It was a cheap POS from China. It lasted 3-4 cranks and the relay seized in the closed circuit mode, providing constant crank voltage to the starter and never quit cranking until I disconnected the battery. Turning the key off did nothing. Apparently the last time out it did the same thing but with the hood on the engine u couldn't tell the starter was still engaged when the engine was running. 7000 rpm later my starter never worked again but that's another story! The OEM Mercury relay has worked fine for the last couple of times on the lake. Most noticeably the relay from Mercury was heavier. Probably due to heavier duty construction and parts. For whatever the reason, aftermarket garbage did not work in my case. I will stick with OEM. It took all of 10 mins to swap out and test fire.

Problem fixed: Engine, outdrive, electronics, wiring!
My son bought a 1978 AristoCraft Nineteen, not running for years, rotten wiring, locked-up outdrive, a 38 year old boat with 38 year technology! After disassembly of almost all components, then the search for a long list of parts began! I came upon Crowleys on a forum and have ordered $100's of parts. Easy order and prompt delivery! Thanks Crowley!

Problem fixed: No power to the engine or starter, but everything else was operational.
I needed a new rectifier and starter solenoid for my 1988 150 XR4 Mercury outboard. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find the parts. Crowley had them both in stock and they were shipped and received in a week (and this was to a Canadian address!). The parts are all at reasonable prices, too.
