Problem fixed: Time...every 5 years replace the hoses.

A hose failure is actually a Captain’s failure.

Problem fixed: When coming off of plane the engine would surge up and down.

The surging was problem was caused by fogging oil seeping down the throttle shaft and into the throttle position sensor which sits under the throttle body. The oil had shorted the low rpm range of the sensor. Replacing the sensor eliminated the problem.
