Turbo 2+2 OT props combine quick hole shots with rapid acceleration and holding power. An over-and-through the hub exhaust design allows the prop to spin up faster at hole shot than complete thru-hub exhaust designs. Four blades helps acceleration and provides additional “grip” over three-bladed propellers. Turbo 2+2 OT propellers feature a narrower-diameter exhaust barrel for additional exhaust aeration of the prop blades during initial acceleration for a better hole shot. This is referred to as “over and through exhaust”, which allows the engine to increase rpm more rapidly when the hammer goes down. The four-blade design contributes to more rapid acceleration and better “grip” of the water than three-bladed propellers, particularly in turns or in rough water conditions. Turbo 2+2 OT props combine great overall boat lift with the ability to carry tournament loads to speed, due to their four-bladed design, aggressive pitch, and high rake angle.

Turbo 2+2 OT propellers excel on older, somewhat heavier boats, and are for use on virtually any brand of V6 outboard (they’re excellent for use with Yamaha 3.1L VX gearcases). They’re available in 13 ¾" diameter x 18", 20", 22", 23", 24", 25", or 26" pitch - right-hand rotation only - through nearly 2000 authorized Yamaha Marine Dealers and over 400 independent Turbo propeller dealers nationwide. (Note: Not recommended for Yamaha “VZ” gearcases, such as the 3.3L V MAX Series 2).
