I had a great experience with Crowley Marine. The parts arrived in great condition and were all factory, exact fit. They have a good selection and I was able to get my boat motor back into action quickly without much down time. I would definitely recommend Crowley Marine!

Problem fixed: Overheating/Scheduled Maintenance

During removal of the thermostat housing I broke a bolt off in the head. I then had to drill the broken bolt out and install a new bolt. This meant I had to remove the head cover so I had to get a new gasket. After the bolt repair and new head gasket I was able to proceed installing the thermostat with new gaskets as well as replacing the spark plugs. I then changed the oil in the lower unit and cleaned the fuel filter and carburetor. I also decided to replace the water pump because it still had the original. I installed the water pump kit and replaced the shift rod boot because it was dry rotted and also noticed the washer was missing on the shift rod so I replaced it as well. The clip that holds the shift rod at the top of the engine was also replaced because it broke during disassembly. Finally I replaced the forward/reverse sticker on the tiller handle because the old one was peeling. I lubricated the cables and linkages with lithium grease and cleaned the engine. Finally, I test ran the motor in a water tank to verify water circulation and operation of all components. It ran like a sewing machine and I hope to get another 15-20 years out it!
