Engine would run down to 3100 RPMs and not increase from there should’ve done a compression test before I purchased coils

They were great. I wasn't sure if the part I wanted to order would fit the engine we have, so I messaged them and they replied quickly. Then when we received our order, it was incomplete. I contacted them expecting the run around, but they were very courteous and had the missing part in the mail that day. Excellent customer service !

Changed the ignition control pack and the coils. Pushed the connectors out of the Old plugs and inserted the new wires. Now the engine runs on both cylinders.

I was able to find a quality OEM part and received it quickly. Shipping was in question but they came in on time.

Problem fixed: Losing power on full load.

Removed the old coils keeping the locations of the primary and secondary leads in the right order. Assembled the new secondary leads. ( make sure you have plenty of dielectric grease with you, the kit does not supply it.) Installed the new coils and verified operation the same way I diagnosed the bad coils.

I order my parts on the 28th of feb at 4pm Australian time on the 5th of march at 11am my parts arrived I can buy most things I need for my 55hp 1979 evinrude in Australia ends up about the same price but takes between 10-12 days too get to me so much quicker and a better and easier website to use at Crowley marine I'm very happy with Crowley marine and will be buying everything I need from now on from them

Replacing wiring loom was very easy plug and play now that's all perfect im now stripping down power head to complete a powerhead rebuild so that's the next thing I will be ordering of Crowley marine

Carb rebuild kit, replaced fuel pump(the real problem) , there was also a possible loose wire in the boot from the power pack , soldered fixed. Problem solved

Problem fixed: low compresson in top cylinder

after replacing the head gasket I had 30 psi on the top cylinder and 110lbs on the bottom .not sure where to go with this situation I decided to pull the top plug out and run the engine on one cylinder and sprayed lithium grease directly into the spark plug hole while the engine was running for about 10 seconds. yes I know a little messy but the results were amazing .I ended up with 110 lbs on both cylinders and the engine is still running like a new one.
