All though it took me a while to get my order because a back order carburetor rebuild kit I’m satisfied. Andy Nasser got back with me when I asked about my order and explained the problem with the order. I told him then that the outbound wouldn’t be used until next spring. I like that I can actually see the parts when ordering. Thank you for still sell parts for older outboard motors.

Great web site as far as drawings and ease of shopping. My order was held up because of a surge in business. I was informed of that, this is not a complaint. Bought from here before, that experience was great as and fast. Co-vid screwed this order up. A couple of the items, I ordered, were not in stock, so it was taking forever. After I contacted support, they were very accommodating, and took care of it. Would buy from them again.

Problem fixed: No water output from the water outlet tube and one cylinder firing out of 2.

Marine shop wanted to charge me over $500 for parts and labor to replace a water pump and rebuild the carb. Looked up the parts on Crowley Marine and installed everything myself. Cost me about $70 to fix, saving money is a good feeling! Anyways, don't be afraid to work on your own equipment!

Problem fixed: would not run unless the choke was out.

Ordered a carb kit. removed carb and disassembled. Soaked the body in Sea Foam overnight. Blew it out with air and reassembled with new parts. Replaced it on the motor and it fired up and ran as it should. The kit was complete with new float needle and seat plus all gaskets and small parts.

Problem fixed: Carb flooding, fuel exiting atmospheric vent when primer bulb squeezed / won't start.

Typical varnished carb from several years of sitting unused, and a gear lube & water pump refresh, on a little 1996 Evinrude 6 Hp you could eat off of! (Never saw salt water in it's 21 year life here in Florida.) Fortunate for the owner that the engine didn't start, found two vanes on the impeller hanging by a thread. If the engine had started and the vanes had separated, they could of traveled through the water tube and blocked a water passage in the powerhead, which at a minimum would require pulling the cylinder head, and possibly the powerhead itself to clear the cooling system. Ordered parts on July 19th (Standard Shipping) and they were in the mailbox two days later, ahead of promised delivery date! (USPS) Good job Crowley. D. Carlstrom OMC Sterndrive, Seadrive, & Outboard Master Tech. (Guess I just dated myself.)

Problem fixed: Carburetor bowl was cracked and leaking fuel

Remove the air box that mounts to the carb, remove the choke lever, remove fuel line from carb. and remove the top plate of the carb. Now remove the 2 nuts that hold the carb to the engine. The nut on the right side is a little difficult, need a narrow 7/16 wrench. Once the carb is out I removed the bowl and rebuilt the carb and replaced my old fuel bowl. Why not I already have it out.

Problem fixed: Exhaust & intake gasket leak

Bolts broke of in head only 2 studs holding it on. Had to drill out the studs and helicoil insert for the repair. Put on new gaskets and studs. Also put on new alternator and bracket. Everything fit like it should.
