Problem fixed: Float bowl warped causing gas leaks
Float bowls for this model usually only last 2 years then bottom float chamber warps causing fuel leaks. The original bowls lasted 15 years not sure why the new ones warp in 2. I use to change out all the bowls at once now just only the ones that are leaking. I keep two spare bowls and the gaskets needed

Problem fixed: Engine Bogged At Throttle
I removed, cleaned and rebuilt all 6 carbs, and replaced the warped float bowls while I was in there. These bowls would warp and let air in (be sure to check yours). I replaced all filters, thermostats, plugs, gave it a full lube and we are in business!

Problem fixed: Gas leaking from motor
Gas leaking out of motor when sitting for a while. I noticed gas leaking out of all 4 carburetors; the float bowls have warped and caused leaking. I found a how to video on Youtube with the exact problem. I found the needed parts on Crowley's web page, placed the order and the parts arrived 3 days later. I was able to swap out the old float bowl on all four carburetors in about 75 minutes. Local marine repair shop quoted me $500 to $600 because "parts are really expensive and it is very labor intensive". I spent $150 in parts and an hour in labor and that way my first time working on an outboard.
