Problem fixed: Boat would die out when I gave it throttle

My motor would die when I gave it throttle. First i changed the fuel line primer bulb and changed the fuel pump. That didnt fix it. So I rebuilt the carbs and cleaned the jets. That didnt fix it. So i checked my new prop, turns out it was the wrong one. Got the right prop and boat ran but after getting on plane would start to surge and idle down. I checked compression, tdc timing. Changed plugs. Still surging.so I took a look at the fuel pump which i had got cheap on ebay. Turns out it was missing a gasket and had the wrong o ring and the cap had a chip in it. So I got a new cap and a gasket and a vented gas tank since my vintage evinrude tank was not vented. That solved the problem and my motor runs great now with all the new parts i didnt need. Thanks to Crowley Marine for getting all the right parts to me.
