Problem fixed: Worn propeller heart, weak spark and no spark

Had a broke shear pin which wore out the propeller hub on one engine. Also no spark on this one. The other one had weak spark. Crownley had all the parts in stock. Great shop!

Problem fixed: Lower unit taking water

Replaced shaft seals as lower unit taking water. Replaced the water impeller while I was at it. Hard to find someone who sells them here in Canada but, Crowley Marine's got them. Can't wait to have fun with it comes summer.

Problem fixed: Engine not pumping water, water leaking past prop seal.

Original water pump kit would not fit this outboard, (my mistake). Had to install old impeller, by reversing the impeller blade rotational curve (temporary fix). New order has the new impeller installed.

Remove Carter key pin Pulled propeller off used a pin punch to get old pin out lined up holes on the shaft an prop holder used pin punch to tap in place till flush on both sides reinslled propeller and installed Carter key pin bent tip of Carter key pin to keep propeller in place and that's all there is ready for the water once again Thanks to crowley marine

Problem fixed: Wrong rotation propeller installed

Bought this unit used. Put it in the water got it running. Put it in forward gear abd the boat went reverse. Tried local stores but not much help inding the right propeller. Went on line found the right propeller and the hub parts needed to do the right repair on Crowley's site. Ordered them and recieved them within a week, which surprised me because I don't live in the USA. Unit works 100% now. Thanks.

Problem fixed: Motor runs but not prop.

Removed the propeller, shear pin and prop hub were broken, removed them. Ordered parts from Crawley. Installed new parts on motor and re-installed prop. Runs like new again.

Problem fixed: Prop would not turn.

Remove cotter pin, remove defective "Shear " pin they call it a drive pin or whatever. The previous owner had installed incorrect parts ,so when the parts arrived from Crowley, I thought they had sent the wrong parts. Surprise ! they were the correct parts.

Problem fixed: Overheating

Had to replace water pump impeller, which was easy. The hardest part was also replacing the 2 lower case seals, which are installed one-way (blind). A little bit of heat and small vice grips finally got them out. Also disassembled and lubricated the exhaust housing so I could clean and lube the bearings that the motor pivots on as this was dirty. Luckily I had the shop manual, but it had no detail on the seal replacement procedure. Crowley's exploded view diagrams are very helpful and can be copied off the website for reference.
