Problem fixed: Spitting and Spluttering
Own a older Evinrude 6hp - 50th Anniversary Edition motor. It's tried and true. Last year it began to have issues with starting and maintaining power. It was taken to a shop and temporarily fixed but soon had same issue. I felt the issue was lack of fuel. Found the Crowley Marine website. Quickly located the hard to find diaphragm and mounting gaskets for the simple fuel pump which is mounted on the side of the cylinders. Crowley Marine promptly delivered parts. 15 minutes with a screwdriver and now the Evinrude is happy and purring like it should. Much thanks to Crowley Marine.

Problem fixed: would not start. After repairing the fuel pump I found the water indicator discharge had no flow
Fuel pump cover was cracked so I was able to order just the cap (not the whole pump $$savings). Got the motor running but the engine ran hot. Water flow indicator was almost zero so I ordered a new impeller. The wrong impeller was received so I wrote to Crowley Marine. They sold a pump replacement kit so I returned the impeller at no cost to me and ordered a complete kit. I recommend the kit after seeing the condition of the existing setup. I'm impressed with Crowley Marine for the advice and the fast and accurate service. In this case of what you pay is what you get I highly recommend Crowley Marine.

Problem fixed: cracked fuel pump housing
Have a 9.9 hp Johnson that is probably early 90's. I discovered on a recent test run that fuel was leaking from pump and engine shut off shortly after priming line and would continue running if continued priming line. So there was also a rebuilt kit available from Crowley and we rebuilt the pump and replaced the cracked cover and screen. Runs so we can head to the lake.

Problem fixed: leaking fuel under motot cowling and stalling immediately upon startup
I simply removed the cracked fuel filter housing, filter and gasket by removing the holding screw and one hose camp. Then I assembled the new housing and filter, installed the assembly with a new gasket, attached and clamped the fuel line hose, and the job was finished. This took about 10 min. to complete.
