Problem fixed: Broken gears in lower unit

Removed lower unit to rebuild it. Replaced original water pump since the impeller had a portion of the rubber broken off. Repairing the lower unit is another story.

I needed to replace the upper seals in a lower unit as I was getting water in the oil .They were hard to get out but went back in smoothly .Perfect fit .. Cheers Tim

Problem fixed: Maintaining motor parts that needing regular maintenance

Replaced water pump/impeller and associated parts, seals, and o-rings. I cleaned up all the parts of the lower unit related to the impeller. The motor is run in salt water most of the time. I cleaned and painted parts of the the lower unit to continue the protection from the salt water. The lower unit has been installed back on the motor. The motor is in good condition for a 1973 65 hp.

The only reason I did not give 5 stars was that I searched for my 50hp evinrude parts list and was sent the parts for the wrong year, however I have sent back and they said they would replace. Now awaiting correct parts. 1 year out can make all the difference cheers

Looking up the parts was easy, because of this Virus going on my Customer was very patient with me. Once I received the part's and the motor came back to life he was happy. I'll be ordering from you guy's again.

Problem fixed: Water pump and thermostat

The customer said it was running hot. After he left I put the motor on my muffle and fired it up and noticed that there wasn't any water coming out the hole's. Being an older motor it has 2 port hole's. So I began removing the lower end and after ordering the part's I started to look into the thermostat and there wasn't one. Luckily I had one in stock. I replaced the water pump anyways and now it ain't running hot and its putting the water out like suppose to.

Shipping was delayed and no communication until I initiated it. Once I asked, then communication was fine. But, the parts got in too late for me to use. I'm giving 4 stars because I know things are crazy right now. But, I still don't understand what took them so long to actually ship the products.

Every aspect of my Evinrude lower end rebuild went without a hitch. After downloading drawings from Crowley Marine I had a great exploded view of my unit complete with part numbers. I put together a list of parts needed and called it in. The support staff was most helpful answering a few questions and I received the parts in a few days and we're back in the water. Thank you Crowley.

Problem fixed: lower unit had water in the oil

Removed the lower unit and disassembled. Welded lower skeg, cleaned and painted housing. Assembled housing and bolted onto the engine. Minor adjustment to shift rod and everything works great.
