Problem fixed: Drain plugs and seals, trailer tilt lock spring

Just took the broken lock spring out along with a broken spring retaining clip and replaced with new ones from Crowley Marine. Easy, perfect fit.

Quick, prompt and communicated by email that there was a delivery delay. This was due to heavy snow fall not allowing delivery to many USPS customer routes. We stopped by Post Office to retrieve package after email from Crowley Marine indicated that package was not delivered on day of expected date. Parts were purchased to keep for spares.

Problem fixed: Needed a replacement anode.

Before installing my new prop, I ordered a replacement anode that is installed behind the prop. Crowley had the anode & replacement screws in stock. It took less than 5 minutes to install the new anode & then install the prop.

Only thing I would have hoped was that since I bought the 32 oz gear oil and separate hand pump they would have made sure the pump was the correct size to reach bottom on container. Extension was not included with pump. Had to dump gear oil into another shorter container to use pump.

Due to age of motor being 1989, it was a challenge to find the parts. Fortunately Crowley Marine had them, expeditiously sent them and all solved the problems as advertised. Very pleased with their service...

Problem fixed: Unable to shift into forward, or reverse gears

Remove lower unit/gear case assembly, remove prop' shaft assembly from case. Found that the splines on prop' shaft, and clutch dog had been damaged possible previously repair job on the cheap . Install new shaft, clutch, shift cradle, water pump, assembly, seals, and gaskets. Pressure test at 11 psi no leaks .Adjust shift rod to manufactures specs' Reinstall lower unit refill with recommended gear lubrication from bottom drain plug . Test ran motor, shifted into forward, and reverse gears engaged with no problems, Prop' rotation correct.
