motor would not start noticed gas coming from fuel selenoid cracked adjustment knob. ordered part from crowley and go it pretty quick, replaced this part motor back running i am pleased.

1. Removed primer solenoid from motor. 2. Removed four screws holding the test port flange to the solenoid. 3. Clean and inspect 4. Install new test port 5. Reassemble in reverse order

Problem fixed: Fuel primer diaphragm replacement

Straightforward - unbolt the fuel primer unit, disconnect lines. Remove four screws holding the top "cap" on. Lift cap off, remove old diaphragm. Clean mating surface on primer assembly. Install new diaphragm, replace cap with new cap, install and tighten screws. Reconnect fuel lines, and reinstall fuel primer assembly. Check prime function and start engine (with muffs on and water supplied) and confirm operation.

Problem fixed: I had a leaky solenoid maintenance valve.

I ordered a new valve and housing, put the valve in the housing and replaced it onthe motor. It took about 10 minutes. Read the instructions that come with the valve before you do this or you could mes things up.

My first order placed was sent out of the US and after 4 weeks I contacted Crowley to discover I will not receive my order and needed to place another order. I did place another order with the correct item numbers But received the wrong item. Now going on 5 weeks not receiving what I want. I do need to place another order and return the incorrect item. Engine had slight struggle getting on plane and didn't like to idle and ran abit rough, orderd some new coil packs and terminals, crimped terminals on and fitted coil packs and it's like a new engine

Problem fixed: Fuel leak and low idle

My system to prime the engine in cold start was leaking. Pulled up the diagram and easily identified the broken part with the help of their diagram. While repairing the primer bypass valve I noticed a bushing was gone on my throttle linkage. Purchased that also and over all its been an excellent experience.

Problem fixed: Locator pin came out of the piston skirt

A little time consuming and tricky at times. Had to remove the old power head, swap all the bolt on parts and hoses, prep the mid section and apply the gaskets provided. After it was all back together found TDC, set the timing and it’s now ready to break in.

I needed just a small part of a larger group of parts. Crowley provided me with a motor specific parts breakdown where I was able to purchase just the small part needed. That saved me lots of money and time. I highly recommend crowley marine to all boat owners.

Problem fixed: leaking fuel from the fogger intake on the primer solenoid.

On the primer solenoid there is a red Schrader valve that is called the "A-B" switch. This is used for fogging the engine when winterizing the engine. The switch is also used for helping start the engine after the long winter months. When in the normal position "A" it can be hard to start after the engine has been sitting for a while. Switching it to "B" sends a larger amount of fuel to the carbs. After starting and running for a few minutes sometimes as much as 15 minutes you put the switch back in "A" position. This is a manual switch that is positioned in the primer solenoid which is very expensive. I was leaking fuel around the switch because it had a crack in it due to stress. I easily pulled the switch out because it is held in by an o ring. I snapped the new switch in and presto no more leaks. I searched many places and found that I could only buy the primer solenoid. That is until I ran across Crowley Marine. The parts breakdown was so simple. I immediately recognized the part scrolled down to the number and saw the price and was filled with joy. Thanks Crowley Marine!!!!
