I needed these parts in a hurry for an emergency fuel pump rebuild on an old 82 40 hp Merc. The parts came fast and were the correct parts!

Problem fixed: Engine would run great at WOT for less than a minute then would bog down to just over a fast idle for awhile, then back up to full speed. Classic fuel starvation symptoms.

Release pressure in fuel system. Disconnect fuel and water lines to fuel pump. Remove mounting bolts and remove fuel pump. Remove and replace old check valves. Clean gasket surfaces. Install new gaskets and diaphragm being careful not to fold or kink them. Gasket sealant is not needed. Replace all fuel and water lines making certain there are no kinks. Test for leaks.
