Problem fixed: Motor would die out when wide open but run good at low RPM

I bought a new fuel pump fuel bulb and hose and Itdid not change a thing then I seen fuel dripping from where you hook the hose to the motor and realized that that connection was messed up I change the connection on the motor and it solved my problem.

I bought a Yamaha f25 from these guys. I would recommend Crowley Marine to anyone interested in outboard motors. Information and price was very good.

Problem fixed: Gas leak on the fuel filter intake cover.

I fired up my motor to find gas squirting out of the side of the fuel filter intake cover cap. I found there are two applications that fit this motor. The filter cap I had to replace is the same in both applications., One takes a large oring on the outer edge of the cap and a small oring in the center of the cap. It then presses on and seals at the two orings over the filter. The other has a large rubber gasget that goes down first, then a much smaller outer edge oring that fits in the outer edge of the cap. In this application the large rubber gasget takes the place of the small center oring, or in short the small center oring isn't needed because the cap has the large rubber gasget to presson in the center now. So you put the large rubber gasget in place, put the cap on witht the smaller outer oring in it and screw it down, If you know there are two ways to fix the problem and two different applications that can be used, it helps understand what you are looking at when it comes apart and what you want to order to fix it.
