Problem fixed: Low water flow, hard to start

We had a few issues with this little motor. The choke slide and rich/lean knob were broken from 40 years of service. Also, the water pump impeller had not been changed out in a few years. The slide and knob took only a couple of minutes. Changing out the impeller was a little more of a challenge. Since I was working on it by myself getting it tore down was the easy part, lining everything up and mounted took a little patience and a couple of beers but went well taking my time to make sure everything was properly reassembled.

Problem fixed: broken rewind, choke knob and guide missing, spark plug stripped out of cylinder

Was going to scrap outboard but found parts on Crowley Marine with much appreciation. Got the rewind spring, choke knob. Didn't even think that I could find parts for this old engine. Epoxied and new plug receptor into cylinder with high heat JB weld good for 2400F. Had to make a choke guide and some parts that were lost. Got engine running on first pull now. "Just and old luminum boat with 10 horse Johnson and a reworked choke"
