Problem fixed: change engine oil
Changed engine oil and filter. Crowley sells a kit by Mercury that includes oil, filter, and funnel. Great kit and great price at Crowley. Job was easy and funnel was helpful. Funnel is also reusable. Take your time. Have tools, rags, and drip pan ready. I warmed my engine for 5 mins (DON"T FORGET TO HOOK WATER UP TO YOUR MOTOR BEFORE STARTING!!!! Remove drain plug Remove oil filter. Let drain for 15 minutes (have a beer - optional). Install drain plug. Use small amount of oil on filter gasket. Hand tighten filter about 3/4 turn once gasket makes contact with engine block. Fill with oil according to your owner's manual. Triple check engine oil level. Start engine (with water attached!!!) Run 5 mins Check for oil leaks. If none, your are done!
