Removing the steering arm
- Remove the circlip “1”, and then remove the steering yoke “2” by striking it using a copper hammer.

Remove the steering hook “1”.
Remove the bushing “2”, O-ring “3”, and bushing “4”.
Remove the steering arm “5”, washer “6”, bushing “7”, O-ring “8”, and bushing “9”.
Installing the steering arm
Install the washer “1”, the bushing “2”, a new O-ring “3”, and the bushing “4” onto the steering arm “5”, and then install the steering arm to the swivel bracket “6”.
Install the bushing “7”, a new O-ring “8”, and the bushing “9”.
- Install the steering yoke “1” so that the steering arm “2” and the steering yoke “1” are facing in the same direction (“a” and “b” are aligned).

Hold the steering arm “1”, and then strike the steering yoke “2” using a copper hammer until the groove “a” for installing the circlip is visible.
Install the circlip “3”.
Install the steering arm stud bolts “4”, and then tighten them to the specified torque.
Install the steering hook “5”, and then tighten the steering hook nuts “6” to the specified torque.

Steering arm stud bolt “4”: 20 Nm (2.0 kgf · m, 14.8 ft · lb)
Steering hook nuts “6”: 40 Nm (4.0 kgf · m, 29.5 ft · lb)
- Inject grease into the grease nipple “1” until it comes out from both the upper and lower bushings “a”.
