This kit contains a P/N 0435448 throttle trunnion connector. This connector kit us used to replace P/N
0334860 connector, and the P/N 0321602 connector and P/N 0321603 retainer (and also the original P/N 0319950 throttle bracket and grommet from '74 and '75 models). This connector is used on all 9.9 and 15 model outboards with remote control.
Disconnect throttle cable (A) from throttle arm (B).
Remove old connector from lower motor cover by turning connector 90° clockwise. Remove retainer and connector from cable. If throttle cable goes thru a rubber grommet in lower motor cover and is attached to original bracket bolted to cover, remove grommet and bracket. Holes can be filled with P/N 334983 plugs.
If there is no square notch in bottom of cable hole (C) in front panel, file it out as shown.
The thickness of clips (D) and (E) are different to fit variable lower motor cover thickness. Remove clips from connector.
Install bottom half (with square boss) of trunnion connector ** (F)** under the cable trunnion and fold top part (G) over on top of the trunnion.
Insert cable and trunnion connector thru lower motor cover with square boss at bottom.
Install the clip **(D) or (E) that holds connector with least amount of looseness. Clip must fit completely to bottom of slot to properly retain connector.
Reconnect throttle cable (A) to throttle arm (B).
Adjust trunnion nut (H) as required so motor returns to idle speed.
