I purchased the brush and spring set, and later found an entire new aftermarket (China) end cap assembly for two dollars less -- which I also purchased. Both are of excellent quality. I would suggest that you folks investigate having access to aftermarket sources. I also purchased an aftermarket starter for the OMC Saildrive that is likewise of excellent quality. The cost of the starter motor (did not include the special saildrive mount casting) was $78. Well worth the money.
Notwithstanding the above, I'll be purchasing a box load of gaskets and seals from you shortly, and I am very impressed with your online inventory and catalog service. In particular, I am most pleased with your website posting of the parts manuals for the 4 versions of OMC Saildrives. The lack of support from OMC is well offset by your work in this area.
Independently, I am working to develop aftermarket production of a few unavailable critical components such as the motor to mounting plate seal, and also a bronze version of the lower unit casting and prop shaft carrier. The availability of these two parts would go a long way toward extending the life of these saildrives well into the 21st Century.
